UL plays a significant role in the roofing industry by providing product safety testing, certification services, writing and maintaining roofing Standards, and serving as a key participant in the Code development process. In past IRE programs, UL has provided the connection between Building & Safety Codes, test Standards, and the UL Certification programs. By requests from participants, we have been asked to provide a deeper focus on systems and tools where Code compliant products can be found. This session will explore various means of demonstrating compliance, such as test reports, third party certifications and listings, and Evaluation Reports. This session will also focus on UL compliance systems and tools, such as the Online Certifications Directory, the new and enhanced Product iQ, and ProductSpec to determine whether roof products and systems comply with applicable standards. This session is presented at all levels - beginner, intermediate and advanced.
