The changes in treating patients with Invisalign clear aligners over the last 15 years has evolved faster than any other area of orthodontics. Phase I and early arch development in pre-teens is now a practical and essential part of delivering comprehensive orthodontic care. Skeletal corrections can be efficiently undertaken using aligners for growth modification in young patients and for surgical correction in adults. There are now modifications built into the aligners that take the place of elastics for Class II corrections. Case finishing was perceived as an issue early in the evolution of aligner therapy. New advances in software and detailing concepts have paved the way for precise, on-time finishes. This course will review how all of these evolutionary changes have made it possible to grow a "mega" orthodontic practice with much less energy and effort compared to a fixed appliance practice.
