Every provider treating a long-term pain management patient must appreciate that the criteria and the standards of care for the patient's diagnosis are being met. This is a principle goal of Inter-Professional Education (IPE) and essential when assessing and monitoring a patient on controlled pain medications. This course will teach examination of the TMD patient. The diagnostic criteria and treatment principles for facial neuralgia, migraine, tension-type headache, and atypical odontalgia will also be reviewed.
