Psychiatrist Dr. Ann Childers? presentation will address how our modern diet does not fit our ancient bodies. Perhaps the gut, rather than teeth, is a better predictor of what we are designed to eat? Childers will address the idea that modern humans have stone age bodies and what that mean as far as what we should eat and being carnivores. She will discuss the concept of fermentable carbohydrates and modern non-communicable diseases. She will look at tooth decay as being not just a local infection and that we should eat as if we?d never brush or floss again. She?ll look at un-sugaring the brain, metabolic syndrome and cholesterol and fats being important to the brain. She will cover time to weaning and brain development in humans vs. other mammals.
