With the blending and intermarriage of families, facility with new record groups is important for most researchers. For Jewish genealogists with Christian kin, learning how to use those records can help advance research results for grandchildren and in-laws who may be of research interest. We will evaluate records of Catholic and Protestant communities and consider how to find such materials and how to best use them, particularly as substitutes for vital records which may never have been created.
