How do contractors differentiate themselves beyond service and price? In order to stand out from the rest, contractors should focus on sustainability. This starts with offering energy-efficient, sustainable roofing systems that contribute to a high-performance building envelope. From insulation to attachments to LVOC, the future contractor is a green one.

1. Upon completion of this presentation, the participants will have a working knowledge of insulation, attachment methods and adhesives that lend to a creating a sustainable roof system ? and by extension ? a high performance building.
2. Determine the importance of key assembly components (membranes and insulations) serve to meet thermal performance and code requirements.
3. Obtain a cursory understanding of recent insurance, warranty and code changes affecting the roofing contractor, building owner and facility manager.
