This presentation will explore the emerging opportunities and challenges associated with deploying unmanned aircraft as part of Fire and Emergency Service response. It will explore available and emerging unmanned aircraft and sensor technologies, the current legal and regulatory framework, and possible mission profiles and scenarios for deploying unmanned aircraft. The various challenges identified regarding drone operations will be discussed, with a particular focus on safety and privacy concerns.
