The Nashville Fire Department institutionalized the LNTB program in a school system of 83,000 students. The program addressed Pre-k to Second grade--over 25,000 students. This session will explain how the program was placed on the curriculum, noting both teacher and school expectations, concerns, and challenges. Also addressed will be what the students learned and how their knowledge affected the community and decreased fire fatality rates.
