The presentation will describe the development of extended coverage in-rack sprinklers. As the typical height of storage buildings has increased over the past 20 years, there has been a renewed demand for in-racks sprinklers. Extended coverage in-rack sprinklers have been development to provide the fire protection of a conventional in-rack sprinkler system, while reducing the number of in-rack sprinklers required. Videos, photographs, and data from full scale fire tests will be presented to evaluate extended coverage in-rack sprinkler arrangements.
