AHJs are constantly challenged to verify that installations are constructed using code compliant equipment, materials, and systems. Using feedback from fire marshals and other code users, UL developed the ProductSpec app that allows users to verify product certifications in their office and from job sites using smart phones and tablets. This interactive session provides an overview of a code-based web tool and hands-on exercises showing how compliance with code requirements, such as those included in NFPA 1, NFPA 72, and NFPA 101 can be provided.
