The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has created America's PrepareAthon!SM, a grassroots campaign for action to increase the number of people who know the disasters most relevant to their community, know what to do to be safe and mitigate damage, practice these actions, and contribute to community resilience planning. This session will present the evidence-based design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the program, including findings from a recent national survey designed to track changes in the public's knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to preparedness.
