This program will consist of a lecture portion in which a predictable and very economical socket grafting technique will be delineated. This technique can be used to prevent collapse of the bony walls of an extraction socket and allow regeneration of bone so that predictable implant placement or fixed bridge construction can be achieved. Materials and instruments will be discussed as appropriate for each restorative goal. A live surgical portion will follow the lecture in which the described techniques will be demonstrated on a patient. A tooth will be atraumatically extracted and the socket grafted in preparation for future implant placement.
