This workshop will present ongoing research of the scientific study of very rapid healing within a spiritual context (Kasnazan Sufism). The talk will begin with the a discussion of the role of consciousness and soul in healing. Then an inclusive definition of science from the hard sciences will be offered followed by presenting data exploring consciousness. My scientific presentation of this area will be contrasted with more conventional psychiatric explanations of these phenomena. Also contrast between mind/body approaches, such as hypnotic and other healing traditions will be presented. A DVD of both field and laboratory demonstrations will be shown. Also, conventional and nontraditional measurements will be discussed for this unusual area. An integrative unified theory will be offered at the end of this talk.
