Presenter: Dwight McKee, MD Format: Video of slides with synchronized audio
Dr. McKee will discuss the evidence for the importance of addressing both the tumor cells and the terrain (microenvironment within which the tumor cells live). He will also outline rational uses for both conventional and complementary modalities in the comprehensive and collaborative care of cancer patients.
Learning Objectives
- To understand how conventional and complementary methods can interface for patient benefit
- To review evidence that host response to tumors is modifiable, and plays a significant role in clinical outcomes
- Review problems with some of the current cancer research models
