The choice of appliance we use in full orthodontic treatment should never dictate the treatment plan we ought to implement as clinicians. This has always been a cardinal rule in dentistry, and must remain so. While removable appliances have their limitations in comprehensive orthodontic treatment, clear aligners - and Invisalign? in particular - have evolved and have become sophisticated enough to apply sound biomechanical principles to execute complex tooth movement not too dissimilar to fixed appliances.
