Interest in small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) has been increasing ever since it was identified as an underlying cause of IBS- the most common gastrointestinal disorder in the U.S. SIBO can cause symptoms of bloating, abdominal pain, constipation and/or diarrhea and food reactions. Diets such as the specific carbohydrate diet, GAPS diet and the low fodmap diet can offer remarkable benefits.
