In this talk, I cover my personal journey which took me from Catholic to Crypto Jewish to Jewish Roots and back to before the Spanish Inquisition. Besides recounting my own personal struggles to change my identity from Catholic to Jewish , I talk about the Genealogy work that led me to find an unbroken maternal lineage spanning 18 generations of grandmothers . I was also compelled to find and prove the existence of a Jewish past in the tiny Village of my ancestors in Spain. The woven lies, the aliases and all the challenges that led me to document the past so completely, serve as an inspiration for many genealogists.
