Specific nutrients such as B-vitamins, DHA, magnesium and others play a critical role in the synthesis and absorption of neurotransmitters that impact mind and mood. Emerging research suggests that nutritional modulation via diet and supplementation can improve mind and mood disorders, especially important in the perinatal period.
Qigong is known to affect autonomic function, and is traditionally believed to aid enteric functions of digestion, peristalsis, and blood flow. The condition of the stomach, in turn, is believed to directly influence mood. Special guest qigong Grandmaster Yang Yang will share a few traditional qigong exercises.
