This advanced workshop shows ways to offer dual inductions in sessions with and without a co-therapist and with and without formal trance. As such many different innovative methods involving individuals, couples and families can be employed that utilize dual inductions to enhance the multilevel communication, and perhaps also enhance the lasting effect of the session. Utilizing two focuses of attention for the client tends to deepen the trance and provide for a more elaborate and engaging induction especially for really bright clients. For instance, when two people are each hypnotized so that any change the other makes ratifies the positive trance of the other person then you have at least built in a method of ratifying the trance in a post hypnotic setting. When that is done with families and couples it can enhance the lasting effect of the change. Because of the multifaceted nature of language we can easily incorporate the family to help alter the waking state of trance that has been blocking the change the family members wanted and didn’t know how to bring about.

During and at the conclusion of this session, the attendee will be able to:
-> Describe and use at least two formal induction methods that involve dual inductions, without a co-therapist;
-> Describe and use at least two non-trance induction techniques to either alter the trance the client is already in or to generate a positive mind set;
-> Develop at least one new innovation for dealing with problem clients;
-> Develop exercises for enhancing their own ability to speak on multi-levels for a client’s benefit; and
-> Explain at least two approaches to utilizing dual inductions with families.
