Chronic disease and obesity are at epidemic proportions in this country. It is known that a poor diet, lack of exercise, toxicity, and genetics, all play a role in the development of chronic disease. In my lecture, I will explore the link between food, specifically reactions to food, and the progression to inflammation, which ultimately leads to all chronic diseases.
Learning Objectives:
-> Review the mechanisms of the immune system and to discuss the differences between food sensitivity and food allergy
-> Review the inflammatory process caused by food sensitivities
-> Analyze the data supporting the link between food reactions and chronic disease
-> Discuss the clinical tools necessary for other practitioners to help treat patients with these conditions through the use of case studies.
