This session will include a review of the most important contract clauses that roofing contractors should look for when reviewing a contract presented for execution. The session will include a discussion on suggested revisions to such clauses in order to make the clauses more equitable for the roofing contractor. Specific contract clauses that will be discuss include payment terms, insurance requirements, scheduling, and indemnification.

1. Identify the most important contract provisions in contracts they are asked to sign

2. Revise contract provisions to make them more equitable

3. Avoid taking on unnecessary risk when agreeing to perform work under contract
