This lecture will describe the imaging, clinical findings, and pulp tests necessary to diagnose endodontic pathoses, with an emphasis on ruling out nonendodontic etiologies for pulp-like symptoms. It will explain how to assess the structural, periodontal, and endodontic state of a given tooth in order to accurately estimate its longterm prognosis. Attendees will be shown the wide array of endodontic interventions available to save worthy teeth, as well as the treatment planning necessary to replace teeth with implants when prognoses are upside-down.
