Introduction to Applied Biofeedback

This workshop will introduce participants to a number of different biofeedback applications and instrumentation which can be combined with hypnosis as an adjunctive technique for a number of healthcare applications. Participants will be able to experience biofeedback and psychophysiological monitoring using equipment from simple inexpensive devices to more complex multimodal systems.

At the conclusion of this workshop, the participant should be able to...

- Identify three different biofeedback modalities and associated biological measures;
- Describe one clinical application for EMG, Temperature and GSR biofeedback; and
- Demonstrate the ability to alter at least one psychophysiological measurement by using
biofeedback equipment.
