The growth of PV installations has resulted in new code requirements and electrical circuit protection of these systems. The program will focus on the code requirements found in Article 690 of the National Electrical Code® (NFPA 70®) along with building code requirements specific to PV Systems in order to ensure a safe and reliable installation. The principles covered will be demonstrated with a stepby- step case study of an actual PV System installation.
Mr. Kennedy
is the Manager, Industry Standards for Power Equipment for Square D Company / Schneider Electric. In this position, Mr. Kennedy is responsible for managing company activities relating to product standards for Power Equipment products, including LV switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, motor control centers, busway, switches and transfer equipment.Mr. Kennedy is a resident of Columbia, South Carolina, USA. He holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Carolina and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of South Carolina.Mr. Kennedy is a member of NFPA and serves on Panel 13 for the 2011 NEC.
