Filters to absorb combustible particulates and vapors are used in numerous manufacturing facilities. The clean air from many of these filters is often returned to the building. When a fire or deflagration occurs in the filter/collector, burning particulates and incomplete combustion products are also returned to the workplace. This session describes incidents where this has occurred and offers guidance on how to deal with this hazard.
Bob Zalosh: FSFPEWPI Professor Emeritus of Fire Protection EngineeringMember of three NFPA Committees dealing with combustible particulate and vapor/gas industrial fire and explosion hazards.
