Key Bank needed to secure access to the sensitive data found in Oracle's PeopleSoft products in order to mitigate risk around internet access by administrators and managers. Using a tiered security approach that combines a single signon solution, virtual private networking and PeopleCode, Key restricts access to sensitive data and transactions for users outside of the corporation's secured firewall while retaining full self-service functionality. This session covers technical details of the implementation as well as the risk analysis that contributed to the design. While focusing on PeopleSoft, the underlying concepts could be applied to other HR systems.
