Who studies the brain/mind?
Where does clinical hypnosis fit in this?
There are four areas of neuroscience research that create a context for clinical hypnosis to occur: State Change, Interoception, Predictive Processing, and Sensory Pathways. From this we can build a solid foundation for clinical hypnosis, one that is in alignment with Western Medicine. In this talk we will explore the links between the Meta Pattern and the 'top down, bottom up' framing of Adaptive Resonance Theory. It's time for clinical hypnosis to reclaim it's rightful place as a supportive adjunct to medical practice, closer to biology than psychology but bridging both.
