Managing patient flow, reducing wait times, and enhancing teammate communication in the emergency department can help to advance patients? perceptions of their care experience. In this presentation, Atrium Health Union leaders will share how the organization worked with Press Ganey to determine patient experience thresholds and used them to define operational goals, how Lean methodology was used to enhance patient flow, and how patient and teammate communication barriers were eliminated, resulting in a better care experience for ED patients.
