Purposeful rounding is a key tactic for gaining crucial insights into what?s important to patients and families and whether their needs are being met. However, purposeful rounding can be time-consuming for leaders, clinicians, and front-line staff. In this session, attendees will hear how University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center implemented and sustained a purposeful nurse leader rounding program with iRound while creating meaningful connections with patients through the use of caring communication skills and real-time service recovery. Attendees will leave with the ability to develop a successful, purposeful nurse leader rounding program, effectively utilize iRound for tracking rounding efforts and analyzing rounding data, and overcome challenges associated with sustaining an impactful nurse leader rounding program.
