With the growing emphasis on the need to improve quality and value in the U.S., patient experience was identified strategically as one of the ?vital few? by the Mayo Clinic board. Mayo Clinic?s patient experience team was charged with developing and aligning an improvement approach across sites, resulting in the Patient Experience Improve or Pxi model. During this presentation, the speakers will briefly describe the Pxi model, staff development efforts and best practices implemented to improve inpatient and outpatient services.
