In 2014, Temple University Hospital started the ?At Your Service? internship program providing non-clinical learning opportunities to college students studying social work, public heath, pre-med, nursing, kinesiology and hospitality. The program provides interns with the unique opportunity to develop skills related to daily operations, empathy and effective communication with health care providers, patients and families. Learn how the program started with 15 interns and has expanded to more than 300 applications for 40 positions. During this session, attendees will learn how this cost-neutral program provides learning opportunities for students while simultaneously enhancing the patient and family experience.
