Researching family history is a lot like solving a Nancy Drew mystery. Join us for a beginner overview showcasing examples and techniques that genealogists use as found in the original classic series primarily written by Ohio's own Mildred Wirt Benson. Nancy Drew has been published in over 45 countries in 30 languages, and to reflect this, our lecture will journey through online records around the world; we?ll go on an adventure exploring old and new tools of the trade starting with an overview of Jewish names, finding cemeteries, gravestone indices, library resources, digitized newspapers, photo archives, incorporating community history, tackling foreign languages, and learning about some very untraditional resources.
