The Jewish Records Indexing ? Poland database has indices/extracts of more than 5.7 million Jewish records from more than 550 towns. The current database and plans for rapid expansion reflect close cooperation with the Polish State Archives and other repositories in Poland and around the world. Changes in privacy laws in 2015 opened up access to millions of additional records.
More than three million record entries, including many full extracts, are linked to digital images of original records - often enabling researchers to document early ancestors with greater speed and thoroughness.
A Vision for the Future will 1) discuss how the current database - with its growing collection of full extracts, and the sophisticated JRI-Poland search system - provides researchers with unparalleled sets of data and tools for family history research. 2) review JRI-Poland?s strategies for further expanding its database and significantly enhance its ability to serve the research community.
