Presenter: Ron Arons
Format: Download MP3 Audio

During this presentation, Ron discusses the various types of records one can discover to piece together an ancestor's life. In this case, the target ancestor is a criminal. This is a very funny story that has grown and evolved over 20 years of research. Several themes will be discussed, including name changes, discrepancies in data collected (and how to resolve the differences), and never to give up. One of the lessons to be driven home is that research never ends and new sets of records are becoming available on a regular basis. You may think you have researched an ancestor as much as possible. You might be surprised to learn that more information is available.
