This session will explore what you need to know about selecting the appropriate stone for a project, including how to work with the stone representative, how to properly specify stone, what you need to know about installation and installation methods and how to speak ?stone contractor? language so that you get the design that you envisioned. Lastly we will look at the role of sealers and the critical role maintenance plays to help ensure that your client is satisfied with their selection for years to come. Upon completion of this session, participants should be able to: o Properly select stone for the intended project o Specify the materials needed for installation o Identify the role and benefits of sealers and how to specify them o Recognize the different methods of installation and how they will affect the design
