A panel of roofing contractors will discuss how they planned for, and dealt with, specific crises in their operations and the lessons they learned. Safety professionals will also offer comment and recommendations. Session material will be presented at the intermediate level (50% material for commercial contractors with 50% applicable to residential contractors) and is geared towards all size companies.

Scott Baxter, Vice President, CRS of Monroe Inc., graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso. He joined CRS in 1989 as a roofing and waterproofing consultant and now works in roofing contracting, building envelope maintenance and roofing consulting divisions. Scott has been active in the NRCA since 1995 and has chaired several committees, including the NRCA/RCI, Inc. Task Force on Safety in Design. He is a Facilitator for the NRCA University, the education arm of NRCA. Scott is currently a director for the NRCA and is Secretary/Treasurer for the Carolinas Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association.
R. Bruce McCrory, Owner, Kiker Corporation, has over thirty-five years of experience in sales, application and design. He attended the University of Mississippi and the University of South Alabama where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree. He is a licensed and certified roofing contractor in the states of Alabama, Florida and Louisiana. He is President of the National Roofing Contractors Association. He is a member of the National Roofing Legal Resource Center and has served as its President. He is a member and past President of the Subcontractors Association of Alabama, charter member of the South Alabama Roofing Association and charter member of the Mobile Bay Chapter of CSI. He is a Registered Roof Consultant and a member of the Roof Consultant's Institute. He is a member of ASTM committees D-8, C16 and various subcommittees and task groups. Bruce is responsible for financial and general operations, personnel, safety compliance, and also works in the areas of estimating, sales, project management and consulting. He has overseen projects on numerous large public and private sector roofing contracts including those for the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard and GSA. He has been a consultant to numerous large property owners, U.S. Navy and local government agencies.
Robert Pringle, NYSCSC, CSE, CECM, CHST, Vice President, Evans Roofing Company, Inc. is a board certified safety professional with over 22 years experience. Bob is a U.S. Department of Labor - Occupational Safety & Health Administration Outreach Instructor for Construction Standards and Voluntary Compliance Standards. Bob is a New York State Industrial Code Rule 59 certified consultant and currently a board member of the Associated Building Contractors Safety Advisory Committee. Recently, Bob was instrumental with his team on receiving OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program Mobile Workforce Awards for both union and non-union companies making it a first for the roofing industry. Bob is a graduate of the University of Miami's engineering program with a minor in safety.
