A Bronze Snake or Jesus Lifted Up? Practicing Healthcare as if God mattered.

They say if you shoot for nothing you’re likely to hit it. Is that our problem? We live in a time of deep confusion over what we are aiming for in health care. We spend so much time on things that go nowhere while over 15% of our neighbors have little access to care. In this workshop we will uncover some of the assumptions that underlie the modern practice of health care and compare it to a Biblical view of life. We will look at examples of how misplaced priorities produce undesired outcome and relate this to the injustices rampant in our health care system. Finally we will do some “dependency testing”, to see if our own practice of health care has become misdirected or poorly aimed.
