Community Health Promoters: Insights from Esperanza’s CHP Program

Initially modeled after Cross Over Ministry’s Lay Health Promoter Program, Esperanza’s 2 year old CHP Program has resulted in 120 graduates from a 10 week 50 hour training program. In this workshop, program structure, costs, outcomes, and valuable lessons learned will be detailed. In addition a comparison with similar programs will be shared to assist other health centers considering initiating health promoter programs.
