Recently, medical research has been focusing on the clinical benefits of the arts in
medicine. This workshop focuses on evidence-based studies on how music affects the
mind, body and spirit in the healing process and offers strategies for integrating music
into the clinical setting.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the evidence-based therapeutic benefits of using music in the clinical setting.
- Describe personal experiences with sound healing techniques.
- Explore ways to integrate music into various medical settings, i.e. hospital, nursing home, doctor’s office, etc.
