Fascia - The Silent Network: Disorder, Healing, and Homeostasis
Hal Blatman, ND
Format: Video of Slides
Fascia permeates the entire human body. As a structure it is mostly ignored and discarded during anatomy and dissection classes, and yet it might be one of the most important organ systems in the body. A newer understanding of the fascia network provides insights into memory, anxiety, somatoemotional experiences, development of scoliosis, and recovery from injury and pain. Consideration of fascia as an interoceptive organ will stimulate imagination in how our body works.
