Description:

This workshop will lead the attendee from basic energy saving strategies through the industry’s newest advanced lighting control concepts, and technologies and techniques. Energy saving potential and documented demonstrations will give the attendees the knowledge and tools to apply these technologies to new and retrofit applications. Learning outcomes include the identification, energy saving potential, and application of advanced lighting control strategies.

Speaker Bio:

Ben Koyle is a research engineer for the California Lighting Technology Center. Ben graduated from Cal Poly, Pomona in 1996 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. While at Cal Poly, he took some lighting classes and decided to make lighting his career. Ben attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and graduated with a Master of Science in Lighting. He spent five years working for Lutron Electronics as a engineer and five years at SYLVANIA as a trainer. While at SYLVANIA, Ben taught Illuminating Engineering at the University of New Hampshire. Ten years after his lighting career began, he took the NCQLP Lighting Certification test and passed in 2006. Ben's interests include teaching,
