Margaret Klinsport has worked at Allstate for over 25 years. She began her career in the Allstate New Jersey Claim Department taking loss reports in Spanish while on a summer break from intended career as a teacher. At Allstate Margaret has held a variety of positions in the Claim Department in the states of Arizona, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Washington and at Allstate’s corporate headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois. When Allstate made the strategic decision to centralize its procurement processes, Margaret was asked to join that department as Director of Procurement with a focus on the services and commodities that supported the claim discipline. After holding that position for four years, in June of 2006 Margaret was appointed Director of Allstate’s Supplier Diversity initiative. In this capacity it is her responsibility to work with minority suppliers and help the minority supplier earn the opportunity to compete for Allstate’s business. Margaret attended the University of Dayton and earned a B.S. in Education. She has also attained her certification as purchasing manager.
