Trauma and Other Considerations For The Pediatric Dental Patient

This course will review the current American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Guidelines on dental trauma involving crown fractures, crown root fractures, root fractures, concussions, luxations, avulsions and alveolar fractures. The differences between similar injuries in the primary and permanent teeth will be reviewed. The course will review the basics of pediatric dentistry and answer commonly asked questions.

- Access and manage dental traumatic injuries that involve crown fractures, crown root fractures, root fractures, concussions, luxations, avulsions, and alveolar fractures.
- Identify the differences in treatment between similar injuries in primary and permanent teeth.
- Review the basics of dental decay and the use of preventive products.
