Infant And Child Oral Care: 101 Questions Parents Ask
Natalie Carr, DDS, MS
Do parents ask you, “When should I take my child to the dentist?” Are you still telling parents to bring their child at 3 years of age? The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that every child visit the dentist by the child’s first birthday. This “well-baby check” for the teeth can establish a dental home and helps ensure that parents learn about the tools they’ll need to help their children remain cavity-free. This course focuses on developing an infant oral health program in your office. This program will review preventive products and diet recommendations, as well as clinical examination techniques.
