Description:
There are four major elements that will determine the success of direct and indirect esthetic restorations: tooth preparation, material choices, impression techniques, placement and curing methods. This presentation will examine the scientific evidence to determine how each element plays a critical role in the professional's decision making process of determining which materials, systems and techniques are best to utilize when doing indirect esthetic restorations. This course will also cover how to direct your dental laboratory to produce indirect restorations with better fitting margins.

Participants will be able to:
Acquire step-by-step protocols for preparation of all ceramic anterior and posterior restorations utilizing specific diamonds for precise margins
Implement step-by-step preparation technique for all ceramic inlays and onlays
Gain knowledge on predictable impression techniques utilizing simplified retraction and hemostasis
Compare all CAD/CAM technologies, all-ceramic and Zirconium systems
Learn about cementation: materials, adhesives and techniques for each substrate
Understand treatment planning minimal preparation porcelain laminate veneers
