Recently, much has been written about assisted dental hygiene and the benefits it provides both to the patient and the dental office. This presentation shows the collaboration between a dentist and his hygiene team and how they came about creating a successful assisted dental hygiene program for their beachside office in Florida. Although the concept of assisted dental hygiene is relatively simple to understand, the major stumbling block is the execution of the program with the combination of key factors to ensure its success.
