This session will address the fire hazards associated with mobile food trucks. No single NFPA standard addresses this issue as a whole to provide requirements for fire protection or life safety purposes for mobile food trucks; fire departments around the country are developing their own standards to solve this issue and prevent disasters. There is an IFMA task group currently discussing this issue and creating language to submit as a public input to NFPA 1 and NFPA 96. An update on that effort will be provided based on Technical Committee decisions during First Draft Meetings for NFPA 1 and NFPA 96.
