Under a research project coordinated by the Fire Protection Research Foundation, an extensive series of large-scale fire tests has been conducted at UL to provide a technical basis for sprinkler system design criteria planned to be included in NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems. This session summarizes the results of the fire test series and provides an overview of the new sprinkler design criteria proposed for the 2016 Edition of NFPA 13.
