This session will examine the evaluation and certification of photovoltaic systems for compliance with NEC installation requirements. A key focus will be the requirements in the various UL standards used to evaluate the multitude of components in a PV system. Also addressed will be an explanation of the construction and performance requirements developed to ensure safe installation and operation of PV systems and areas of the evaluation process intended to ensure the safety of first responders, specifically at those facilities where the PV equipment is part of the building structure.
