This session will present the results of a two-part study by the Fire Protection Research Foundation to determine conditions where installing sprinklers below non-combustible clouds only would be permitted. The presentation will review prior research, results of experiments and modeling for fires below cloud ceilings, and recommendations for sprinkler spacing based on the cloud and room dimensions.
